Bishop Nathan J. Anderson
by Elder Kelvin Darden
(Charlotte, NC)
Bishop Anderson is one of the kingdom's best kept secrets, FOR NOW! He is a highly anointed man of God with a pure heart which exemplifies his relationship with God. He is a worshiper with every fiber of his being. I believe he would rather worship than eat! He is a man of prayer and I am thankful for the many prayers he has prayed over my life. He is a prophet and you can count it if he says God said it, it is going to come to pass.
Lord knows he is one of the preaching-est men on this side of heaven. He is a psalmist by right! Not only can he preach you under the pews but he can sing you under there as well. He is a Pastor indeed. Many are called to lead but this man has been called to Father. I thank God for this soon to be world renown preacher. With the word God has put in his mouth, there is no way that his name will not be known all over the earth. Look out world, God has called Bishop Nathan J. Anderson to spread the word in all parts of the earth!
Bishop Nathan J. Anderson was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina and is the fifth of six children. He was reared and educated in Charlotte, North Carolina where he attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. He is a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School class of 1976. After graduation he attended Central Piedmont Community College where he studied General Education courses, before pursuing a curriculum in Criminal Justice. His previous church affiliations include membership at Greater Mt. Zion Fire Baptized Holiness Church, where he served for a number of years as Minister of Music and Minister of the Youth Department. In November 1983 at the Greater Mt. Zion FBH Church he was ordained, as a Minister of the Gospel, in the Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas. Bishop Anderson is certainly a gifted psalmist in his own right; known for his excellent voice control, voice range and an anointed praise and worship leader in the body of Christ. After serving many pastors in various capacities, it was the divine Will of God to release Bishop Anderson in November 1985 to serve a small congregation in Charlotte, known then as New Myers Chapel FBH Church. Once his pastorate began, the church began to grow and many marvelous works of God’s hand prevailed. He then sought to further his religious education and enrolled in the Metrolina Theological Seminary, an extension of Shaw Divinity School. He remained at Shaw for over three years before transferring his credits of study to Emmanuel University, a monitored school of the Southern Baptist Church Association. In continuing his desire to further his studies, he later transferred to New Life University (New Life Seminary) where he earned a Bachelors of Arts in Theology, graduating Cum-Laude. Bishop Anderson remained there in studies and earned a Master’s of Arts in Divinity after completing his thesis: Evangelistic Methods of the Black Church: Past, Present, Future. God has certainly equipped Bishop Anderson with an anointing for this time, allowing him to flow in the gifts of ministry. He has been anointed and called to the work of the five-fold ministry, for the perfecting of the saints. He is definitely a gift to the body of Christ, serving the kingdom faithfully, in the office of an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. His ministry has changed many lives and his gift has made room for him to minister extensively across the United States as well as in Nottingham, England; Trinidad; and Ochos Rios, Jamaica.
During 1999, the spirit of the Lord commanded Bishop Anderson and New Myers to “change or die,” prompting the ministry to heed to the voice of God. Under the direction of God and leadership of Bishop Anderson, the ministry became Greater Myers Chapel Pentecostal Fellowship Ministries, Inc. During this shift, God positioned Bishop Anderson to take the ministry to another dimension and change began to rapidly occur. It was also during this time Bishop Anderson was ordained as an Elder in the Sounds of Praise Pentecostal Fellowship Ministries Worldwide and was later appointed District Elder of the Second Province under the leadership of Bishop Allen H. Simmons, Presiding Prelate. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Coordinators for the 2002 Triune Conference.
In November 2002, God profoundly manifested in the flesh what had been revealed in the spirit – the call to the Apostleship. He was consecrated to the Office of Bishop on Sunday, March 2, 2003 and founded Warriors Armed And Ready (W.A.R.) Fellowship Ministries, Inc. He presently is a member of the Partners of Joint Ministry, Exalting the Word International Fellowship where he serves under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Allen, Presiding Prelate. He also serves as the Presiding Prelate of the W.A.R. Fellowship Ministries, Inc. Bishop Anderson currently pastors one of Charlotte’s most promising ministries, Greater Myers Chapel Pentecostal Fellowship Ministries, a house pregnant with greatness and the favor of God. He serves with great anticipation of an awesome move of God that will bring increase in all areas of the ministry. There is a genuine compassion for the souls of men and women, desiring to see all come to the truth and full knowledge of Jesus Christ. He is the father of two biological sons, and many spiritual sons and daughters.
Bishop Nathan J. Anderson is one of God’s rising men for the hour, an anointed gift to the body of Christ. Pray for him in expectation that the divine will of God be continually manifested in his life, knowing that God is well able to complete what he starts. For where there is no expectation, there will be no manifestation.
