We were proud of our newly completed sanctuary. It was a traditional sanctuary with a vaulted ceiling and padded pews. It had a lighted steeple that happened to be right above the pulpit.
We had started a week of special meetings and everything was going well in spite of the rainy weather. The response was positive and lives were being changed. Yet, unknown to us there was a little flaw in the building. For during the peak of the message the rain came down harder than normal and a drop found it's way through a small hole in the ceiling and dropped the 25 feet to hit squarely on the end of the microphone with a resounding pop. The special speaker paused and then calmly said, "Don't let it be said that there is a drip in the pulpit!"
