Pastors you are a very special pastors. You kept your stand for God over the years. You did not give in to the pressure of joining the elite in crowds, but instead you joined with the Jesus crowd. You held on when others walked away, you stayed the course in the roughest of time. It has been because of your stand that we as a church family have been able to stay together,no matter what, you have remained a true shepherd of God over his flock. The endless and countless nights of sleep you have lost to attend to the needs others. Time you've given to others that took you away from your own family. The hundreds and thousands of dollars you have given to clothe the naked, to feed the hungry, to buy medicine for the sick, to get loved ones out of jail, to visit and pray with families of those that have been hospitalized and in the rest homes, to go the extra mile to make sure that single parent homes have what they need, and that is not all. You visit the prisons and pray for the young men and women behind bars, declaring that they are not what they have done, that God is a God of another chance. You take from your own to give the little children on their birthdays and for the older kids that go away to college you manage to slip them a little gift. You have spoke a word in due season to hurting women and failing marriages that brought restoration to some and hope to many.
Most of all Pastor you have taught us the word of God, to love God and to pray, all of these things you have done for me and my family over the years. Pastors you are truly a great man & woman of God from your heart. We love you and appreciate you.
From my house to yours Duet.1:11 The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he has promised. Just these few words can not tell it all, nor say it all, when Jesus celebrated his victory over sin and death, he choose to give gifts to those he set free. He could have of course, chosen to give us anything, knowledge, spiritual growth, protection from the enemy, or comfort during trials. But in the end when Jesus celebrated his victory over sin and death, He chose to give us all these things, because He chose to give us the both of you.
God bless you and heaven continue to smile upon you both.
