I used to be one of the sound technicians at Friendship Church in Prior Lake, MN. We used a wide range of microphones for the pastor, singers, and choir. As a sound technician is was also my duty to provide sound reinforcement during special events and weddings. I was told this story by one of the older sound technicians that was using one of the older wireless microphone systems during a wedding.
The pastor, bride, and groom each had their own wireless microphone which consisted of a very small and easy to hide microphone with a wire down to a transmitter pack that was hidden underneath the clothing. This older system had a tendency to sometimes pick up CB radios from cars that happened to be going by the church during an event. This one particular time, as if on cue from the CB operator, just after the pastor asked the groom if he took this women as his bride, suddenly a strange voice came over the speaker saying "10-4 good buddy". Needless to say, this surprised everyone. After realizing what had happened, everyone had a good laugh and the wedding continued with out further incident.
