Pastor Freeman is such a gift from God.I thank him Publicly and worldly,for all the things he help me through,which means so much to me.His concern and understanding gives me strength, when trials and tribulations feels as if it's weighing me down.
when I knock on Pastor Freeman's door,I receive a warm welcome. He listens,and takes the time to get me through. I've never felt like my problem was trivial. My Pastor is always there with good direction and care. He gives abundantly.
I thank you for listening with your heart,and offering up your prayers when I'm blue;
For bringing out the best in us; always encouraging us to grow in the Lord.
If not for his encouragement and leadership role in my life and Spiritual Hands Ministry, I may not be where I am today. The words from the preacher flow through our hands like water flowing over rocks in a stream. As the music vibrates the pews and the choir sings, we take the ones that cannot hear on a beautiful journey. We paint a picture with the gracefulness of our hands, the expressions on our faces, and the swaying of our bodies.
We hope that through the Spiritual Hands Ministry that anyone can experience the Holy Spirit moving.I consider myself very lucky to have someone like Pastor Darin Freeman, who gives his life and time in such a generous way. Thank you just for being you.
Thanks for for the teachings that have touched our hearts and opened our eyes. As to where we have grown spiritually,and For things I can't explain.
I always say "you're gona buy me a new pair shoes, because you walked all over my feet with that sermon." But... I know that was my answer from God. I've witness Pastor Freemans relationship with God,because, he answers the questions, that I only ask Of God.
On October 1, 2006, Pastor Freeman became the 12th Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church located at 205 Donnally Street, Charleston, WV. Simultaneously, Freeman faithfully works to develop, build, and expand the church’s capacity to do outreach ministry that addresses and provides the needed services in the Charleston area and surrounding areas. He has strategically forged alliances with public and private sectors and community leaders to collaborate on various community initiatives and activities to improve the quality of living for families and children.
Pastor Freeman's educational accomplishments include a Masters of Divinity Degree in Theology from Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, DC. Pastor Freeman is the proud father of Darin Jr. (DJ), who currently attends Virginia Union University, and a daughter, Dana, who is in middle school.
Pastor Freeman has weathered his own personal storms; however one of his own sermons ministers to him daily, "You Can Make It On Broken Pieces." He is truly a man sent by God who loves all, but above all, he truly loves the Lord because it was He who heard his cry.
His favorite scripture is I John 3:2 "And it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but when He appears we shall be like him."
When I think of my pastor this is the scripture that come to mind first;
Matthew 18:12-14 What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go in search of the one that went astray? 13 And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. 14 So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
