One year when I was a child I remember one Sunday our Children's church workers brought onions (my Preacher was from Oklahoma and LOVED -seriously LOVED sliced raw onions with every meal)and each one of us got one handed to us.
So during the morning service, we all marched in singing, "We love you, Preacher...oh, yes we do. We love you, Preacher...it's true!!! And you love onions so here's to you. OH, Preacher, we love you!" then we all handed him our onions. I'm almost 40 years old, and I still remember doing this! We also did snickers one year, and cans of Coke one year....
