What are we celebrating?

One New Years Day, my husband and I attended that morning mass having had rung in the New Year's Eve with a quiet evening at home. As we sat in our pew that following morning, we smiled as we listened to the lector give us the morning greeting. He says, "I just want to wish you all a very Happy Easter!" He kept on and never corrected himself. My husband and I, stunned, just looked blankly at each other
